Thoughts...in the context of the upcoming elections.

Elections are approaching, and some people are still undecided. On the one hand there is Mr. Simion, known for the aggressiveness he has shown in the Romanian Parliament, the president of AUR and the successor of Georgescu. Diametrically opposed to Mr. Simion stands Nicușor Dan, the mayor of the capital, a rather withdrawn and introverted man. Simion seems like the archetype of the furious bully, the one who steals lunch money and spends it on cigarettes, while Nicușor seems like the personification of the class nerd, the one who would rather stay aside and read a book than take part in group activities.
So? Which one is the choice? Each has positive and negative attributes, but the choice is not as complicated as it may seem at first glance.
In this article, it will be explained why Nicușor Dan is the right option for Romania, if only because he opposes the false “sovereigntist” and isolationist doctrine “preached” by Mr. Simion.
The war on social media
In recent days, social media activity has been more intense than in an entire lifetime put together. Comments have been written, posts liked and, overall, the situation inside both candidates’ camps has been closely monitored.
What can be stated with certainty is that, although there are extremist factions within both groups, the percentage of those displaying radical behavior coming from Mr. Simion’s camp is, numerically speaking, CLEARLY higher.
Another characteristic frequently observed among most of Simion’s supporters is the avoidance of dialogue with people who do not share their political views. The way George Simion’s ideas spread and, by association, those of Călin Georgescu, is strikingly similar to the way woke activists spread their ideology, as was shown in a previous article.
This is also one of the reasons why, despite having expressed an articulated opinion in a comment on popular pro‑Simion posts, no one replied. It is indeed complicated to counter someone without insulting them or publicly questioning their cognitive capacity...
Another nonsense noticed in the content of comments from some avid pro‑Simion supporters is the use of the term “Muc‑bot” to address those who support Nicușor Dan and express their opinion about the elections or ask pertinent questions. It is difficult to pinpoint a single message that Simion’s sympathizers want to convey through this label, but two possible meanings come to mind.
1. All those who support Nicușor are incapable of thinking for themselves and, like a robot, can be easily “programmed”.
2. Nicușor’s supporters are not real people, but a desperate attempt by the corrupt Romanian state to prevent Simion from becoming president through fake votes and fake accounts.
These meanings show either that (A) Simion’s supporters are incapable of considering the possibility that they might be wrong, and here reference can be made to the book “12 Rules for Life: An Antidote to Chaos” in which clinical psychologist Jordan B. Peterson formulates the rule: “Assume that the person you are listening to might know something you don’t” (because it is better to spare yourself the shame in case you are wrong), or that (B) Simion’s supporters are naive and believe all sorts of bedtime stories and conspiracy theories, formulated by none other than George Simion. The best salesman: Invents a problem that he himself will then solve...
The truth is NOT on the side of the duplicitous
The main problem that arises when trying to discuss any possible professionalism that George Simion would have to show in tactfully managing Romania’s diplomatic relations with other countries is his inability to control himself. And, as was written in a comment on TikTok, an app installed solely for the purpose of monitoring the activity of both political camps:
“George Simion is known for his fits of rage in Parliament. In one of them he said: >>I will sexually assault you, you sow!<<. Starting from the example above, the following question is formulated: Why should there be trust that Mr. Simion will manage the country with tact if he cannot even manage his own emotions?”Now, some might protest. Everyone slips up sometimes, that does not mean being duplicitous. Perfectly true. But there is a major discrepancy between Mr. Simion’s actions and the image he wants to project to the world. And, according to Archeus.ro, a hypocrite (a synonym for the word “duplicitous”) is someone who “shows themselves to be different from what they really are.”
It is absurd to call oneself a sovereigntist and then applaud the US decision to withdraw the Visa Waiver. Just as it is absurd to promise houses for €35,000 only to later say it was a marketing strategy...
When reality does NOT back you up
Being dedicated to the truth, it is very important to note that what Mr. Simion wants to achieve is a utopia. You can't "nationalize" foreign companies because that would drive them away. Uncertainty has increased since Mr. Simion reached round 2, which is normal. If I had a company, I would try to find a profitable country, not one where I had to pay taxes over taxes, just to be able to carry out my work.
Again, being also in chapter "utopie", we must also discuss Simion's promise that he will kick out 500,000 budgeters – "Parasites", as he told them. This is impossible, even from a theoretical point of view, and to appoint some people "parasites" is a odious strategy.
The 1 leu houses? Unfeasible. Gasoline to 1 leu? (because 1l gasoline = a house in Mr. Simion's vision) Same. The question is: What did George Simion not lie to Romanians? With what did NOT he fool them, by remaining on their lack of discernment, on the scarcity of reason that overwhelmed our country?
Conclusion
Every time the political center moves into one of the ideologies existing in the state, things become radicalized. Wh-why? Because the balance of power is tilted in favor of a certain doctrine, and in order to govern a state, both the left and the right are needed. Both Liberals and Conservatives.
In this context, I ask you the following question: Who is more likely to turn society into a utopia and the government into an extremist one? If you can answer that, I have no doubt that you will know who to vote for.
